Avona starts 2026 world cup season
with strong lineup

With a high caliber team, Avona heads into the upcoming World Cup season. New to the roster are eight-time German champion Maximilian Brandl and U23 champion Sina van Thiel. The trio is completed by Leon Kaiser, who continues to ride the Avona Silva.

The form is strong: Brandl immediately impressed with five wins at the start of the season, securing valuable UCI ranking points as well as qualification for the short track race at the World Cup opener. Van Thiel showed her potential in her first elite year with top-ten finishes and recently climbed to 35th in the world rankings. Kaiser continues to build on his consistent performances and is also closing in on the world’s top athletes. In addition, he achieved a sensational 2nd place at the Santa Vall Gravel Race during his race preparation.

With strong results from the build-up and growing confidence, the Avona team now travels to the first World Cup races. The mission is clear: race at the front, collect points, and showcase the brand on the biggest stage in mountain biking.
